Libyan protester a Griz fan!

A reader sent me a CNN YouTube video of a the amazing and massive protests yesterday in Benghazi, Libya in which a University of Montana Grizzly fan make an appearance.

I’m not making this up:

Griz gear in Libya

Check out the full video here and notice that at the :54 mark a man is clearly donning a UM Griz hoodie.

I don’t know what to make of this, I just found it pretty interesting.

Thanks to all Lowdown readers for forwarding me tips and info!

Well, it doesn't necessarily mean that he is a fan. A lot of clothing items that are given to Goodwill are shipped to poor countries if Goodwill can't sell them, like if they are ripped or stained. So the person may have just been on the receiving end of some charity. Not to burst anyone's bubble....I'm just speculating.

All my stuff was blown up in Afghanistan during my 2nd deployment back in 2008. I had several Griz hoodies with all my gear, I'm starting to think that bastard is wearing one of my hoodies.

What does Afghanistan have to do with Libya? They're 3,000 miles apart on separate continents.

Hi Nick,

I honestly can't remember who sent me the clip. I don't think it was you tho. Did you send this video to CNN? Are you a Montanan? I'd love to know the source of the video and the story behind it. That was almost two years ago now! Thanks for reading.
